We gladly accept items for consignment that meet our strict requirements for value and quality.

For consignment, our rates are as follows (rates are per watch):
Final sale price of $2,001-$3,500 – 38% commission
Final sale price of $3,501-$5,000 – 33% commission
Final sale price of $5,001-$8,000 – 28% commission
Final sale price greater than $8,001 – 25% commission

Items must have an expected selling price that meets or exceeds $2000.00. This insures that the commission is adequate to cover all associated costs of the sale as the sites on which we sell continue to raise their commission fees. These include the significant commission rates charged by many of the sites on which we sell, the man hours required for professional photographing and the research and creative time spent crafting an effective description as well as the time spent facilitating the sale.

All packing, shipping, and insurance costs, as well as associated commission and merchant fees (if applicable) are paid by Connoisseur of Time.

The commission that we charge is in line with standard industry rates, yet often results in a much greater net return for the consignor and reaches a broad audience because of our presence on major watch and e-commerce sites. And, unlike other consignees and auction houses, we don’t have hidden or substantial additional fees for photography, insurance, cataloging, etc. Ours is a simple, straightforward commission structure.

We also regularly purchase watches outright for sale to our broad dealer network and extensive worldwide online retail clientele. Because of both the worldwide reach and highly-targeted nature of our large portfolio of sales channels, on many watches we can pay prices that are significantly higher than those offered by other dealers.
